New CytoPath team member wanted!

We are seeking a full time laboratory technician to join our small, fun and friendly team.

CytoPath is an independent veterinary diagnostic pathology laboratory based in Ledbury and established for over 30 years. Our mission is to provide vets with rapid turnaround diagnostic results of the highest quality, enabling the best veterinary care.

The laboratory technician role is diverse and interesting. It includes rotation around:

· microbiology

· histopathology (tissue trimming, embedding, sectioning and staining)

· cytology sample processing

· haematology sample processing

· occasional answering of client calls, database entry and administrative tasks

We are looking for someone with competence in microbiology, histotechnology or perhaps a veterinary nurse looking for a new challenge.

We can provide on-job training in the areas where you have less experience.

Finding a good fit within our small team is the main priority and we will need someone who will take part in the Saturday rota (with a day off in lieu).

· You have good manual dexterity

· You have excellent English written and verbal communication skills

· You appreciate the vital role of high quality diagnostics within Veterinary care (i.e. animal lovers welcome!)
